Candidate Questionnaire​:1. What inspired you to seek this position?I love Pasadena. Pasadena has been very good to me and my family. I want to give back and be part of what makes this city great.2. What qualifications, experience, and leadership skills prepare you for this role, including crisis response, crime prevention, financial literacy, and public communication?Being in property management for 17 years has prepared me for this position. I work with 100's of residents on their day-to-day issues and as you can imagine,I have lots of responsibilities and have dealt many times with the Pasadena Police Department, Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department as well as Acadian ambulance service. I also oversee the property's financial budget.3. What are your top priorities for the first 100 days if elected, and which city policies or initiatives will you continue or change?To drive the district and meet the people, to continue to participate in the HOA's, and identify the needs of District G. All the while, building a relationship with city officials.4. How do you plan to embrace the city of Pasadena, including uniting City Council, foster collaboration, and ensure transparency in your leadership while effectively representing all Pasadena constituents?It's all about communication. Being honest and using common sense, building relationships, and holding people accountable5. What actions will you take to increase the number of city projects awarded to small and local businesses?I will work with the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce as well as the Pasadena EDC to foster new programs to enhance Pasadena Loves Local.6. What is your vision for Pasadena’s economic development, including plans for the convention center, city-owned land, and infrastructure improvements to encourage business investment?I love the new convention center idea. This project has amazing potential to bring people to our city and create jobs. Good sound infrastructure will encourage business investments.7. Business-friendly policies rank as the number one priority for chamber members. What are your plans to streamline the permitting process and improve ordinances to attract and support new businesses while also improving flexibility for development in Pasadena?My understanding is that this problem is going to finally be resolved with the hiring of the new City Controller. I believe that if the council would have done their job, their jib, this problem would have been resolved five years ago. I will forge a good relationship with the new City controller and keep dialogue open.8. What are your plans for improving and maintaining Pasadena’s infrastructure, including roads, sewage, drainage, water supply, high speed internet, and the power grid?I will continually drive my district and evaluate the roads and areas of flooding as well as talk to my constituents and gather all the information necessary to present my suggestions and plans to the mayor's office.9. How will you leverage modern technology to streamline city operations, improve efficiency, and prioritize long-term growth? What specific innovations or technology solutions will you implement to enhance public services, economic development, and infrastructure management in Pasadena?I will keep all options on the table including the use of AI to keep the city moving forward.10. Business and citizens alike require a secure city in which to work and live. What is your experience and plan for public safety for Pasadena?I'm currently responsible for close to 300 residents and have worked with the Pasadena Police Department and have worked on many issues over the last 17 years. I have a good repour with many officers on the force.11. How can the city ensure adequate healthcare infrastructure, including mental health care, hospitals, doctors, and accountability in healthcare services?I will continue to work with our current hospital systems like HCA Southeast and Patients Hospital St. Luke's along with Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.12. Access to talent and workforce is the number one challenge facing Pasadena businesses. What role should the government play in workforce development, including investment in training programs and partnerships with colleges and the ISDs?I think the city has done a fantastic job over the last eight years partnering with PISD and San Jacinto College. I believe partnering with local unions for internships would be a great place to start as well
