My passion for bringing people together and driving meaningful change has inspired me to step up as a leader who will advocate for progress, unity, and transparency in Pasadena.2. What qualifications, experience, and leadership skills prepare you for this role, including crisis response, crime prevention, financial literacy, and public communication?With a strong background in financial literacy and public communication, I have developed the skills necessary to engage with the community effectively, address concerns and implement policies that support economic growth and security. My experience in leadership and crisis management enables me to navigate challenges with a level-headed approach, ensuring that Pasadena remains a safe and prosperous place for all residents.3. What are your top priorities for the first 100 days if elected, and which city policies or initiatives will you continue or change?My top priorities will be strengthening relationships with city officials and community leaders to drive impactful change. I will focus on policies that foster economic growth, enhance public safety, and improve city services. Additionally, I will work to create transparent discussions among city council members to ensure progressive policies are effectively negotiated and implemented for the betterment of our community.4. How do you plan to embrace the city of Pasadena, including uniting City Council, foster collaboration, and ensure transparency in your leadership while effectively representing all Pasadena constituents?I plan to engage with residents directly, listen to their concerns, and bring their voices to City Hall. By promoting open dialogue among council members, and ensuring transparency in decision making, I will foster collaboration that leads to effective solutions. investing time in building trust and maintaining honest communication will be key to my leadership approach.5. What actions will you take to increase the number of city projects awarded to small and local businesses?I will advocate for policies that prioritize local businesses in the bidding process, ensuring fair opportunities for small enterprises to thrive. By streamlining application procedures, providing workshops on navigating city contracts, and increasing awareness about available projects, we can empower small businesses and contribute to Pasadena's economic development.6. What is your vision for Pasadena’s economic development, including plans for the convention center, city-owned land, and infrastructure improvements to encourage business investment?My vision is to align Pasadena's economic growth with community needs while making strategic, forward-thinking decisions that attract business investment. I aim to modernize and maximize the potential of the convention center, develop city owned land responsibly to benefit resident's and local businesses, and improve infrastructure to create an environment that fosters innovation and economic expansion.7. Business-friendly policies rank as the number one priority for chamber members. What are your plans to streamline the permitting process and improve ordinances to attract and support new businesses while also improving flexibility for development in Pasadena?I will work to simplify the city's permitting process, cutting unnecessary red tape while ensuring business can open and operate efficiently. My experience in business development will guide me in identifying areas for improvement ensuring that Pasadena remains a competitive and attractive location for startups and established businesses alike.8. What are your plans for improving and maintaining Pasadena’s infrastructure, including roads, sewage, drainage, water supply, high speed internet, and the power grid?I will work closely with the mayor and city council to assess and address the most critical infrastructure needs. By prioritizing road improvements, modernizing drainage systems, and advocating for high-speed internet access citywide, we can create a Pasadena that is both resilient and forward thinking in its infrastructure planning.9. How will you leverage modern technology to streamline city operations, improve efficiency, and prioritize long-term growth? What specific innovations or technology solutions will you implement to enhance public services, economic development, and infrastructure management in Pasadena?I will advocate for the integration of smart city technology to improve efficiency in city services, from traffic management to digital permitting solutions. By implementing online platforms for citizens engagement and utilizing data-driven insights, we can make more informed decisions that enhance economic development and infrastructure planning,10. Business and citizens alike require a secure city in which to work and live. What is your experience and plan for public safety for Pasadena?I will work closely with law enforcement to ensure Pasadena has sufficient staffing, resources and community -based safety initiatives. strengthening relationship between police and residents through outreach programs.11. How can the city ensure adequate healthcare infrastructure, including mental health care, hospitals, doctors, and accountability in healthcare services?I will collaborate with local clinics, hospitals and healthcare providers to develop a sustainable plan that improves access to affordable healthcare. Expanding mental health resources and ensuring transparency in healthcare services will be key initiative to promote community well-being.12. Access to talent and workforce is the number one challenge facing Pasadena businesses. What role should the government play in workforce development, including investment in training programs and partnerships with colleges and the ISDs?I will push for a stronger partnership between businesses, and ISD's to create job training programs that align with industry demands. Investing in workforce development will help Pasadena residents gain valuable skills and ensure local businesses have access to a skilled and competitive workforce.
