Texians in the 1830s liked to celebrate with a fandango, a festive gathering with music, dancing, gambling and food. Dancing and balls were an important opportunity to socialize and form a community on the frontier, where many people lived miles away from their nearest neighbors, and no gathering was complete without games of chance.
The event is free to attend and participate in the activities. Food and merchandise will be available for purchase. All ages are welcome. If you’re interested in being a vendor at our fall festival event, use this link to applylinktr.ee/sanjacintomuseum. Please share with anyone you know that has a local business, food truck, restaurant, boutique, craft/maker business, or farmers market.
